Does the Carb need a rebuild? or to be replaced?

Question: 1987 Honda CRX 1.5 mileage: 116,000.  The car sat for four months because it needed a head gasket replaced. I did the repair and now it does not want to take gas when I floor it. It is as if it is starving for gas. If you keep pumping the gas pedal, it will do ok. If you spray carburetor cleaner in the carburetor it will run smoother. Float problem or not?

Answer:  From what you describe, it sounds like you need a carburetor overhaul. In addition, check for vacuum leaks.
