The Fuel Filter is an important part of the fuel system. On most all fuel injected vehicles the fuel filter is located underneath the chasis between the gas tank and the engine. Generally it is mounted on the frame rail and is usually access friendly. Some Asian Vehicles have a fuel filter located in the engine compartment toward the firewall.

Carbureted vehicles normally have a fuel filter mounted directly to the fuel line at the carburetor or between the fuel pump and carburetor.
