Before you take anything apart, make sure you check your fuses. If you can hear the motor running but the window does not move it is probably the window motor regulator that needs to be replaced. If the window moves and then stops along with the motor or is stuck part way down, then you will probably need to replace the window motor. Once you get the door panel off you can inspect further.
