How Often Do I Need to Replace my Air Filter

One of the easiest and cheapest ways to gain more fuel mileage is by replacing your vehicles air filter often. Check the element at every oil change service and replace it when you can not see light through it. If light has a hard time getting through, then air will also have a hard time getting through. Other vehicles are similar and should be maintained in the same way. Don't forget to reset the maintenance indicator light once your oil is changed and your air filter is checked or changed.

  1. Remove the thumb screws from the top of the cover, then release the 6 fastener clips.
  2. Lift the cover up and off of the housing.

    To install:

  4. Wipe all dust from the inside of the housing using a clean rag or cloth.
  5. Install the element into the housing, then position the cover over the element.
  6. Secure the cover with the fastener clips, then tighten the thumb screws to 35 inch lbs. (4 Nm). Do not overtighten the thumb screws.
